On 2 November 1876, complainant John M. Owen sued on behalf on himself and all other creditors of Peter T. Campbell deceased. The distributees and heirs of Peter T. Campbell are: Mary E. Campbell his widow, and children Thomas Campbell, William Campbell and Mary E. Campbell. Thomas is above 14; William and Mary are under 14. There is an answer of the children by James Roy Micou stating that they are of very tender years, etc. The answer of Mary E. Campbell states that Peter T. Campbell died in April 1873. “She is in very limited circumstances, with three children, two of whom are quite young and almost uneducated”. Peter T. Campbell married Milly A. Boughan on 10 February 1881 in Essex County. He was 24, single (not widowed), born in Caroline County and living in King William County. She was 22, single, born in Essex County and living in Essex County. Parents were Peter T. Campbell and Mary E. Kidd, and Thomas Boughan and Mary Wood. Peter was a hauler of timber. The marriage date is further confirmed by the South Farnham Parish Register, 1870-1901, which states that Peter Thomas Campbell married Milly A. Boughan on 1881 Feb’y 10 by Rev. Everard Meade “in the country”. [South Farnham Parish Register, 1870-1901, p. 126, copy at the Virginia State Archives.]
In the birth of his daughter Lucy, he is a resident of the Rappahannock District.
On 1 November 1888, Peter T. Campbell and Mildred Campbell his wife sold to Arthur Jackson. For $50, 20 acres, more or less, bounded by James H. Taylor Sr, Preston Gresham, John M. Owen, and Peter T. On 19 November 1888, a deed was executed between Mary E. Campbell, Justin Derieux, Mollie M. Derieux, Peter T. Campbell and W. L. Campbell of the first part, H. W. Daingerfield trustee of the second part, and T. R. B. Wright of the third part. Whereas the parties of the first part have borrowed $60 of the said T. R. B. Wright and desire to secure him harmless, they sell the timber on a tract of land of which Peter T. Campbell died seized amounting to 146 acres more or less from the case of Owen v. Campbell. Campbell widow of Peter T. Campbell sold to James E. Rogers. 66 acres bounded by J. M. Owen, Joseph Cauthorn, the lands of Peter T. Campbell deceased, Jas H. On 25 May 1893, Mary E. Campbell, Willie L. Campbell and Lula K. Campbell his wife, Justin Derieux and Mollie E. Derieux his wife gave to Peter T. Campbell. For “natural love and affection we bear towards Peter T. Campbell”, part of the land of the late Peter T. Campbell, 59 acres more or less, bounded by the lands of the late J. D. On 25 December 1894, Peter T. Campbell and Millie A. his wife executed a deed of trust to W. J. Haile. The land on which the late Peter T. Campbell lived, 59 acres in all, conveyed by Peter T.
