On August 9, 2001, Jessie Moore Moffett told Thomas Darian Moore that she remembered the day her grandfather, Thomas William Moore, died, which was on 24 May 1922. She said he died at work.

On 20 November 1926, the following item appeared in the Centreville Observer:
Powell, Elmer Lee, 17 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Royden N. Powell, of “Eversley”, near Centreville, died last Saturday night. Besides his parents, the little fellow leaves one brother, Royden N. Powell, Jr. He was a grandson of County Treasurer and Mrs. F. Marion Hunter. Interment in Chesterfield Cemetery. The pallbearers were four young girls: Misses Marie Skinner, Jessie Moore, Dorothy Murphy and Anna Clough. On 13 April 1933, Howard Haman Moffett was married to Jessie Katherine Moore at Parsonage, Centreville, Queen Anne’s County, Maryland. He was a resident of Chestertown, Maryland; age 21 years (February 1931); white; single; not related to the female; and not divorced. She was a resident of Chestertown, Maryland; age 18 years (September 1930); white; single; and not divorced. The license was issued on 2 July 1931. On 25 April 1933, The Baltimore Sun published:

Chestertown, Md., April 24—Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Moore, of Chestertown, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Jessie Kathryn Moore, to Howard Haman Moffett, of Chestertown. The ceremony was performed at Centreville on April 13 by the Rev. J. Colvin Randall.

On 9 August 2001, Jessie Moore Moffett told Thomas Darian Moore that she remembered visiting her grandparents, Thomas Moore and Catherine Trautwein Moore, as a young girl at their home at 726 N. Patterson Park Avenue. Jessie described the home as a narrow row house, “15 feet wide,” with a living room in the front, next a dining room, then finally a kitchen. Between each room were curtains of beads.

Jessie Moore Moffett, of Easton and Ocean City, died at Genesis Eldercare - The Pines, Easton, on Saturday, November 2, 2002. She was 90.
Born in Baltimore, MD, September 12, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Jessie Bockmiller Moore. She graduated from Chestertown High School in 1930, and in April 1933, married Howard H. Moffett. They made their home in Easton where he managed the local office of the Automobile Club of Maryland and later owned and operated his own insurance agency, Moffett Insurance Agency. From the late 1960’s to the mid 1980’s, they owned and operated an antique business, Moffett Cottage Antiques, in Ocean City. Mr. Moffett died on July 28, 1993.
A Charter Member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Easton, she was a member of the Ruth Circle of the United Methodist Women of the church. Other memberships included the Jr. Auxiliary at Memorial Hospital and Chairman of Volunteers at the Diagnostic and Imaging Center, the Ladies Auxiliary of Talbot Post #70, American Legion where she was a Life Member, a member of the Charter Committee for the Town of Ocean City and a Charter Member and Past President of the Quota Club of Ocean City. At the time of her death, she was President of the Resident’s Council at Genesis Eldercare - the Pines, Easton.
Mrs. Moffett is survived by two daughters, Patricia M. Hopkins of Salisbury, MD and Kathryn M. Turner of Cranbury, NJ; a brother, Robert D. Moore of Galveston, TX; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Monday November 11th, at 11 A.M. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Easton.
Private burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Easton.
Memorial donations may be made to The Pines-Residents Council Fund, c/o Genesis Elder Care, 610 Dutchmans Lane, Easton, MD 21601.
Funeral arrangements are by the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. Easton.
