“William Daniel was a merchant in the town of Urbanna, Middlesex County, Virginia. His will was dated November 17, 1745; proved February 3, 1746; recorded in Will Book 1675-1798, Part I, page 207, Middlesex County, Virginia. It mentions son-in-law, Robert Daniel; daughter, Lucy Daniel; son, Josiah Daniel to have plantation and Wm. Watts land adjoining which he owns; daughter, Agatha; daughter, Sarah; daughter, Rachel; daughter, Ann; daughter, Frances; wife, Ann; my brothers, Richard Daniel, Dward Bristow, and James Cole not to pay debts; sister, Jochobed Jefferson; sons, Josiah & Robert; my children, Robert Daniel, Josiah Daniel, Agatha Daniel, Sarah Daniel, Rachel Daniel, Ann Daniel, and Frances Daniel. Executors: Wife, Josiah and Robert Daniel. Witnesses: Henry Thather, John Strachey, Judith Wortham and Ann Smith. There is also a deed of partition cencerning the descendants of William Daniel, dated August 20, 1767 and recorded in Middlesex County, Virginia.”
