Randolph Brizendine was mentioned in the 4 June 1776 will of his father Francis Brizendine. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 13, pages 45–56.]

On 20 January 1794, adminisration of the estate of Elizabeth Brizendine was granted to Randolph Brizendine. Randolph Brizendine and Thomas Brizendine acknowledge their bond in the penalty of £150. Signed Randolph [X] Brizendine, Thos. Brizendine. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 15, pages 85–86.]

On 20 October 1795, administration of the estate of Francis Brizendine was granted to Randolph Brizendine. Randolph Brizendine and Thomas Brizendine acknowledge their bond in the penalty of £50. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 15, page 199.] (This may have occurred because Elizabeth, widow and executrix of Francis Brizendine, died in 1794.)

In a case that continued in 1804, Francis Brizendine sued for distribution of family estate: Orator Francis Brizendine is the eldest son of Francis Brizendine who left a will in 1776 and died in 1776, leaving a wife Elizabeth and other children Thomas Brizendine, Randolph Brizendine, Armsted Brizendine, Susanna Brizendine and Mary Bush. That Elizabeth died on 12 January 1794 without marrying again. That Susanna then married James Callicote. [Essex County, Virginia, Box Chancery No. 21, item 21-C-17.]

Randolph Brizendine was mentioned in the 3 November 1806 will of Dinah Dunn, who called him her brother, and he was named executor. Proved on 15 November 1813. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 502–503.]

On 15 November 1813, Randolph Brizendine and Isaac Broocke were bound in the penalty of $300 for Randolph Brizendine’s execution of the last will and testament of Dinah Dunn, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 503–504.]

The estate of Dinah Dunn in account with Randolph Brizendine, executor, from 1813 to 1814 was returned to court on 15 May 1815. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, page 168.]

The will of Randolph Brizendine of Essex County was dated 31 December 1814. Wife Caty. Sons Henry and Thomas. Grandson Churchill, son of deceased son John. Executors wife Caty and friend John Trible. Signed Randolph his x mark Brizendine. Witnesses: Vincent Ramsey, James Trible, William his x mark Breedlove. Proved 19 May 1817. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 388–389.]

On 19 May 1817, Caty Brizendine, Chaney Brizendine and Austin Brooks were bound $2,500 for Caty Brizendine’s execution of the estate of Randolph Brizendine. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 389–390.]

On 18 October 1824, John Trible and Vincent Ramsey were bound in the penalty of $2,000 for John Trible’s execution of the last will and testament of Randolph Brizendine, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, pages 78–79.]
