Cecyl Klepfer
Cecyl L. Klepfer, 90, died Thursday in St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital.
Born Oct. 7, 1896 in Centerville, she was the daughter of Samuel Irvin and Lida Stone Moore. She was married to Lawrence Klepfer in Ottumwa Feb. 3, 1923, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1954.
She graduated from Centerville High School in 1914, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Centerville, Chapter KA, P.E.O.: MXL Society, the Order of Eastern Star and the St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Larry, of Glen View, Ill.; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one brother, Dillon Moore.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rex.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Johnson-Lange Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Bardole officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. A visitation was held Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. A memorial to First United Methodist Church has been established, and memorial gifts may be left at the funeral home.
