Frances G. Ware was mentioned in the 31 August 1823 will of her grandmother, Rachel Ware, and was to receive all of the estate at her marriage or when she reached the age of 21. The will was proved on 17 November 1823. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 19, page 419.]

In about 1850, orator George H. Dobyns complained to the Chancery Court. That in 1846, he and and Richard Croxton were merchants. Richard Croxton died in 1848 leaving a widow and five children to wit Frances G. Croxton, Thomas Croxton, Mary Farland, Susan F.
