On 15 January 1810, Samuel Montague and James Montague were bound in the penalty of $3,000 for Samuel Montague’s administration of the the goods, chattels and credits of Edward Ware, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 145–146.]

The estate of Edward Ware, deceased, in account with Samuel Montague, administrator, from 1809 to 1812 was settled on 29 April 1812 by Francis Smith, Jno. Trible and H Young jr, and ordered recorded on 17 August 1812. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 407–409.]
