On 18 July 1836, Zachariah Brizendine and Sthreshley Dunn were bound in the penalty of $200 for Zachariah Brizendine’s administration of the estate of Howard Williamson, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 52.]
On 17 November 1840, Richard D Dunn, Philip Broocke Jr and Zachariah Brizendine were bound in the penalty of $200 for Richard D Dunn’s administration of the estate of Gregory Taylor, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 543.]
In 1850 or 1851, orators and oratrices Zachariah Brizendine in his own right and as administrator of Polly Brizendine deceased, Wiley Brizendine, Catharine Brizendine and Frances Shepherd complained to the Chancery Court. That during the past year 1850, their mother Polly Brizendine died intestate leaving children the parties named (Frances being the widow of Smith Shepherd) and Mary Ann Brizendine wife of Temple Brizendine.
