The estate of Samuel Williamson, deceased, in account with James Dunn, administrator, from 1831 to 1834 was ordered recorded 21 December 1840. On 15 March 1834, Lowry Williamson and Sthreshley Dunn (in right of his wife Janetter Dunn who was Janetter Williamson) acknowledged that they had received their respective shares of the estate. On 23 April 1834, Ro: Wright Dy for W. Lewis Sheriff & Comt: of the Est: of Ansel WmSon Decd acknowledged that he had received Ansel Williamson’s share of the estate. On 23 April 1834, William S. Croxton acknowledged that he had receive that share of the estate due to his ward Dice Williamson. On 5 December 1834, Leonard Clark acknoweldged receipt of a proportion of the estate in right of his wife as her dower, also as guardian of Dorotha Williamson, David Williamson, and Larkin George Williamson. On 31 July 1834, Sthreshley Dunn made purchases at the sale of the estate of Major Arthur L. Barnes. [Essex County, Virignia, Will Book 24, pages 12–20.]

On 29 September 1834, Sthresley Dunn made purchases at the sale of the estate of Philip Clarke, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, pages 21–22.]

“Essex County to wit:
“Inquisition indented taken at Jno Crows in the County aforesaid on the 2d of Febry 1835, before me Thos. Wright Sr Coroner for the County aforesaid upon the view of the body of Alexr. Houston late of said County then and there lying dead and upon the oaths of Richd. L Covington Foreman, Richd. D Dunn, Sthreshley Dunn Jno H Smith, Walter G. Covington, Leroy Taylor, Thos. Greenwood, Lowry Norris, Fontaine Wood, Robt T Shackelford, H H Cauthorn, Ach Lumpkin good & lawful men of the County aforesaid who being sworn & charged to enquire on the part of the said Commonwealth when where how and after what manner the said Alex Houston came to his death do say upon their oaths that having examined the said Houstons body are of the opinion that his death was caused from blows inflicted upon his head — by whom they were inflicted we know not — In witness whereof as well the aforesaid Coroner as the Jurors aforesaid have to this Inquisition put their seals on the day and year aforesaid and at the place aforesaid—“

On 18 July 1836, Zachariah Brizendine and Sthreshley Dunn were bound in the penalty of $200 for Zachariah Brizendine’s administration of the estate of Howard Williamson, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 52.]

In an undated petition, orators and oratrices Robert H Moody, Sthreshley Dunn and Mary his wife who was Mary Moody a daughter of Hundley Moody decd late of Essex County and Joseph Minor and Nancy his wife who was Nancy Moody another daughter of the said Hundley Moody and Daniel J Moody complained that the said Hundley Moody father of your orators Robert H Moody, Daniel J Moody and oratrices Mary Dunn and Nancy Minor, died on ____ 1837 leaving a widow Elizabeth Moody (who has since died) and your orators Robert H, Mary, Nancy, and Daniel J his only children and heirs. He died intestate and administration of his estate was granted to John P Armstrong. [Essex County, Virginia, Box Chancery No. 48, item 48-J-10.]

On 17 September 1838, Sthreshley Dunn and Richard D. Dunn were bound in the penalty of $200 for Sthreshley Dunn’s administration of the estate of Elizabeth Moody, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, pages 321–322.]
