Mary was mentioned in the 1 May 1787 will of her father, James Boughan, proved 18 July 1791. Item I lend to my beloved wife Amy Boughan one half of my Lands to live on during her Life and at her death I give to my Daughter Mary Boughan to her and her heirs forever … Item I give to my Daughter Mary Boughan one half of a bound I have of Samll Croxton for Eleven pound thirteen Shilling and four pence to her and her heirs … Item I lend all my parsonable Estate to my beloved wife Amy Boughan as long as she shall live and at her death to be devised amongst all my Children William Boughan Elisabeth Boughan Mary Boughan & Ann Bohannan to be Equally devided between them. On 31 December 1793, Bennoi Bohannon and Mary his wife of the County of Essex and Parish of Southfarnham sold to Thomas Bohannon of the County of King and Queen. For £7 current Money of Virginia, all the interest which is now or shall be due to him the said Bennoi Bohannon and Mary his wife of in and to a Certain Divident or parcel of land left to my wife by hur father James Boughn Situate lying and being in the County of Essex & parish of Southfarnham and Containing by Estimation Seventeen Acres and a half more or less, bordered by land of Henry Dunn, Thomas Brooke, and Thomas Allen. Signed Bennoi Bohannon, Mary her + mark Bohannon. Witnesses: Thos. Miller, William his x mark Boughn, John Crow. Memorandum states that the land was delivered by Turf and Twig.
