Lucy was mentioned in the 1 February 1806 will of Mary Burke. “… I Give and bequeath to my beloved neice Lucey Burke Wife to Graves Burke, one negro Woman named Hannah and her increase to her and her heirs for ever, Also one Bed and furniture one Chest and one trunk 2nd I Give to Ann Burke daughter to Graves Burk and Lucy his Wife, one negro man named Phill, to her and her heirs for ever …” [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, page 92.]
