On 27 December 1805, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of William B. Sale was made by John Jones, W Fisher, and Micajah Munday. In addition to a widow’s dower, eight equal lots went to Fielding Sale, John Rouzie & Wife, Nancy Sale, Polly Sale, Arrenia Sale, Kitty Sale, Oswald Sale, and Hortens Sale (also listed as Hawkins or Hawtins). Returned to court and ordered recorded on 17 June 1817. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 414–415.]

On 19 June 1815, Polly R. Parker and Fielding Sale were bound in the penalty of $3,000 for Polly Parker’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Alexander Parker, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, page 175.]

Mary R Noel was mentioned in the 21 February 1841 will of her brother, Fielding Sale, proved on 15 March 1841. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 571.]
