On 27 December 1805, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of William B. Sale was made by John Jones, W Fisher, and Micajah Munday. In addition to a widow’s dower, eight equal lots went to Fielding Sale, John Rouzie & Wife, Nancy Sale, Polly Sale, Arrenia Sale, Kitty Sale, Oswald Sale, and Hortens Sale (also listed as Hawkins or Hawtins). On 19 June 1815, Polly R. Parker and Fielding Sale were bound in the penalty of $3,000 for Polly Parker’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Alexander Parker, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, page 175.]
Mary R Noel was mentioned in the 21 February 1841 will of her brother, Fielding Sale, proved on 15 March 1841. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 571.]
