On 21 June 1798, a division of the land of Oswald Davis, deceased, was made by H. B. Brooke, Henry Garnett, and J. Sale, with lots distributed to W. Salvator Jones and Sally his wife, William Hill and Clara his wife, and William Brooken Sale and Nancy his wife. Ordered recorded on 20 February 1804. On 27 December 1805, a division of the slaves belonging to the estate of William B. Sale was made by John Jones, W Fisher, and Micajah Munday. In addition to a widow’s dower, eight equal lots went to Fielding Sale, John Rouzie & Wife, Nancy Sale, Polly Sale, Arrenia Sale, Kitty Sale, Oswald Sale, and Hortens Sale (also listed as Hawkins or Hawtins). Returned to court and ordered recorded on 17 June 1817. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 18, pages 414–415.]

The will of Nancy Sale widow of Wm B Sale late of the County of Essex was dated 14 February 1832. To son Fielding Sale all the land left me by my brother Oswald Davis, and likewise all my personal estate. My son Fielding Sale to be executor. Signed Nancy Sale. Witnesses: J. W. Fisher, Thomas Graves, Motta Ball, John H Ball, Laurence Roane, Clarissa Hill. Proved 20 May 1833. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, page 93.]

On 20 May 1833, Fielding Sale, John Rowzee and James Andrews were bound in the penalty of $1,000 for Fielding Sale’s executorship of the estate of Nancy Sale, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 23, pages 93–94.]
