On 20 April 1818, John Shearwood and Susanna his wife, Patty Coleman, and Anna Coleman, all of the County of Essex, sold to Thomas L. Latané of the same. For $878, a tract of land lying in Essex County “being that part of the land of which Vincent Coleman died seized and possessed which was allotted to his five children, William, Thomas, John, Patty and Anna Coleman, and distinguished in said allotment Nos. 3. 5. 6. 7. 8”. Signed John Shearwood, Susanna her + mark Shearwood, Patty her + mark Coleman, Anna her + mark Coleman. Witnesses: H. W. Latané, W Lewis, Ben. H Munday, Sthreshly Rennolds.
