Thomas Brockenbrough was mentioned in the 19 November 1804 will of his father, John Brockenbrough. Sons John, William, Thomas, Arthur, and Austin. Beloved wife Sally Brockenbrough and sons Thomas, William, Arthur and Austin to be executors. Presented in court on 18 February 1805. Sarah Brockenbrough, widow, renounced her right of executrixship; Thomas, William, Arthur and Austin Brockenbrough renounced their rights as executors. On 18 February 1805, Thomas Brockenbrough, Mace Clements, Sthreshley Rennolds and William Brockenbrough were bound in the penalty of $50,000 for Thomas Brockenbrough’s administration with the will annexed of John Brockenbrough. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 16, pages 340–341.]
