Thomas Brockenbrough was mentioned in the 19 November 1804 will of his father, John Brockenbrough. Sons John, William, Thomas, Arthur, and Austin. Beloved wife Sally Brockenbrough and sons Thomas, William, Arthur and Austin to be executors. Presented in court on 18 February 1805. Sarah Brockenbrough, widow, renounced her right of executrixship; Thomas, William, Arthur and Austin Brockenbrough renounced their rights as executors. Letters of adminstration granted to Thomas Brockenbrough. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 16, pages 336–340.]

On 18 February 1805, Thomas Brockenbrough, Mace Clements, Sthreshley Rennolds and William Brockenbrough were bound in the penalty of $50,000 for Thomas Brockenbrough’s administration with the will annexed of John Brockenbrough. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 16, pages 340–341.]

Thomas Brockenbrough was named an executor in the 1 October 1806 will of Mace Clements, proved 16 February 1807. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, page 7.]

On 18 June 1810, Thomas Brockenbrough and James Webb were bound in the penalty of $4,000 for Thomas Brockenbrough’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Sarah Brockenbrough, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 197–198.]

The estate of Dr. John Brockenbrough, deceased, in account with Thomas Brockenbrough, administrator, from 1805 to 1812 was settled on 17 June 1812 by Laurence Muse, Benjamin Blake, and Archibald Ritchie, and ordered recorded on 17 August 1812. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 391–401.]
