Sarah Brockenbrough was mentioned in the 19 November 1804 will of her husband John Brockenbrough. Presented in court on 18 February 1805. Sarah Brockenbrough, widow, renounced her right of executrixship; Thomas, William, Arthur and Austin Brockenbrough renounced their rights as executors. On 18 June 1810, Thomas Brockenbrough and James Webb were bound in the penalty of $4,000 for Thomas Brockenbrough’s administration of the goods, chattels and credits of Sarah Brockenbrough, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, pages 197–198.]
