Francis was mentioned in the 14 March 1780 will of his brother Martin Nalle of Culpeper County, proved 20 November 1780. [Culpeper County, Virginia, Will Book B, pages 407–408.]

Francis was mentioned in the 16 September 1780 will of his father, John Nalle, proved 19 August 1782. “Item I give and bequeath to my Son Francis Nalle The Tract of Land whereon I now live above my Son John Nalles Land With the Mill & other Improvements also a Negroe Woman Named Phillis & a Negroe Girl Named Sall and their Increase to him & his Heirs for Ever … Item I lend unto my Loving Wife for and During her Natural life or Widowhood the Tract of Land and Plantation whereon I now live also all my Slaves not before Bequeathed and all my Stock and furniture of all Kinds also my Will and Desire is that all the Negroes and personal Estate after my Wifes Decease or Marriage be Equally devided amongst my Children Richard Nalle William Nall Francis Nalle James Nall Agatha Hill Mary Sims Gressel Parker Elizabeth Sims Ann Burke & Amie Morriss to them and their Heirs for Ever ...
