Martin was mentioned in the 16 September 1780 will of his father, John Nalle, proved 19 August 1782. “also my Will and Desire is that If my Son Martin Nalle should appear then my Will Bearing Date 1777 to take place. Otherwise this to Remain in full force Power and Virtue” [Culpeper County, Virginia, Mixed Records Volume B, pages 519–522.]
The will of Martin Nalle of Culpeper County was dated 14 March 1780, “being in good health of Body and of sound mind and memory at Present but being about seting of to the New Country and knowing myself to be mortal and not knowning whether I shall ever return…” I give and Bequeath unto my Dear Brothers viz Richard Nalle John Nalle Francis Nalle James Nalle the whole of my Estate both Real and personal. Signed Martin Nalle. Witnesses: Thos. Brown, James Sims, Thomas Garriott[?].On 20 November 1780, proved by the oaths of Thomas Brown and James Sims and ordered to be recoreed.
