On 22 September 1724 Richard Tyler and Susanna his wife of South Farnham Parish sold 93 acres for 5 shillings to their daughter Mary the wife of James Boughan. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 18, page 1.]
Susanna Tyler was mentioned in the 4 December 1732 will of her husband Richard Tyler: To beloved son Richard Tyler after the death of my beloved wife Susanna Tyler the plantation whereon I now live with all ye land belonging to me Between Piscataway Creek and the Road together with a peice I purchased lately adjoining to it. To beloved son Richard Tyler at the time of my wifes decease the best feather bed & furniture belonging to me. To said son Richard Tyler after my wifes decease a negroe man Named Will. To beloved daughter Mary Boughan a good suit of Cloaths at the Discretion of my beloved wife Susanna Tyler. To beloved daughter Susanna Tyler after my wife decease my great Looking Glass. I lend to my wife Susanna Tyler all ye rest of estate, after her decease to be Equally divided between beloved son William Tyler and beloved daughter Susanna Tyler.
