On 19 July 1841, Samuel T. Moorman answered a bill of Dorothy Garnett. That he admits the execution of the said deed and decree of 20 July 1835. The will of Wm A Garnett can have no operation whatever upon the property conveyed in and by the said deed. Property in the trust deed cannot be held liable for debts. In about 1846, oratrix Dorothy Garnett complained that during the lifetime of her deceased husband William A. Garnett to wit on 25 July 1832 by a certain deed of trust of William Garnett and Dorothy Garnett of the first part and William S. Croxton of the second part, all of the County of Essex, the said mortgagers conveyed all their interest and title in certain property. William A. Garnett died about the __ day of _______, ____, having left a last will and testament naming Dorothy executrix. In a suit in chancery, your oratrix and George L Garnett, son of your oratrix and William A Garnett, were plaintiffs, and Wm S Croxton was defendant. A decree of 20 July 1835 pronounced your oratrix trustee. After settlement she found herself indebted to the estate of William A. Garnett $259.30 in principal and $15.55 in interest. Due from her as executrix is $844.10 in principal and $307.73 in interest. She has not received monies due to her. That James Garnett, Samuel T. Moorman who intermarried with Emily Garnett who is since deceased without issue may be made defendants. No date, but decree on 21 December 1846. Garnett vs Garnett.
