The will of Caty Banks of the County of Essex was dated 8 January 1813. To son Townley Banks, not of lawfull age. If he should die without heir, then to my three sisters Peggy Davis, Susanna Blake, and Sally Sowell. Peter B. Davis and William Blake to be executors. Signed Caty Banks. On 18 January 1813, Peter B. Davis, John Trible and Philip Mann were bound in the penalty of $1,000 for Peter B. Davis’s execution of the last will and testament of Caty Banks, deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 17, page 444.]
