The 1824 will of George W. Lee bequeathes to his sister Mary Micou. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 20, pages 196–197.]
On 18 April 1836, Mary Micou, Susan S. Micou, Albert Micou, John M. Tupman and James Roy Micou Jr., were bound in the penalty of $54,000 for Mary Micou’s administration de bonis non with the will annexed of the estate of Paul Micou Senr. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 8.]
On 18 April 1836, Mary Micou, Susan S. Micou, Albert Micou, John M. Tupman and James Roy Micou Jr., were bound in the penalty of $11,000 for Mary Micou’s administration de bonis non with the will annexed of the estate of Paul Micou Senr. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 24, page 8.]
A deed of 26 October 1846 mentions James H. Boughan and his wife Martha Ellen, daughter of John H. Micou whose mother was Mary, widow of Paul. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 48, page 191.]
The will of Mary Micou of the County of Essex was dated 8 October 1849. To the four children of John Micou of the State of Mississippi, interest due to me from the said John Micou but not the principal. To the five children of decased son John H. Micou, interest due from his estate upon debts due to the estate of Paul Micou deceased of George Lee deceased which may amount to $1,000. To the four children of deceased son Albert Micou, interest due from him. To niece Mary F. Stark. To Daughter Susan S. Micou. To daughter Phelicia L. Tupman to be held in trust by Wm A Baynham. Signed Mary her + mark Micou. Witnesses: R. M. Hunter, M. H. Garnett, J. A. Baylor. Proved on 21 November 1853. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 27, pages 346–347.]
