On 1 May 1724, Thomas Edmondson and Constant his wife and Charles Breedlove and Mary his wife of the County of Essex and parish of Southfarnham leased to Thomas ffitchjeffress of the same, for 10 shillings, 50 acres on Piscataway Creek. Signed Tho: Edmondson, Constand her C mark Edmondson, Charles Breedlove, Mary her m mark Breedlove. Witnesses: Wm Covington, Thos Crow. On 2 May 1724, this tract was released for 2,250 pounds of tobacco and cask, “Part of a pattent of one hundred & eighty nine acres of Land formerly granted to Mr Jno Webster deced and now doth of right belong unto the Said Constand Edmondson & Mary Breedlove as heirs from Mary Webb deced daughter of the aforesaid John Webster”. On 19 March 1733, Thomas Edmondson, Thos Coleman jr, Jeremiah Sheppard jr and Wm St John were bound £600 current money for Thomas Edmondson’s administration of the goods, chattles and credits of Samuell Edmondson deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 5, pages 211–212.]

An inventory of the estate of Samuel Edmondson ordered 19 March 1733 was made by John Rowzee, John Andrews, Jos his E mark Leeman. Total valuation £251.13.7. Returned by Thomas Edmondson. Recorded 16 April 1734. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 5, pages 236–238.]

On 16 February 1735/6, Thos Edmondson and Richd Covington were bound £50 sterling for Thomas Edmondson’s administration of the goods, chattles and credits of Sarah Edmondson. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 5, pages 412–413.]

A further account of the estate of Samuel Edmondson for the year 1739 was returned by Thomas Edmondson adminstrator and recorded 18 July 1739. [Essex County, Virginia, Will book 6, page 200.]

On 20 August 1745, Elizabeth Coghill, a Thomas Edmondson and James Boughan were bound £250 current money for Elizabeth Coghill’s administration of the goods, chattles and credits of James Coghill deceased. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 7, pages 360–361.]

An inventory of the estate of Benja Fisher deceased ordered 20 August 1745 was made by a Thomas Edmondson, John Edmondson and William Covington. Wm Dunn administrator. Ordered recorded 17 March 1746. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 7, pages 504–505.]

On 21 March 1749, Thomas Edmondson served on a jury, of which he was forman, in a land trail suit between Thomas Dix and James and Ann Campbell. [Essex County, Virginia, Land Trails 1741–1760, pages 111–113.]

On 18 December 1750, Constance Edmondson, Thos Edmondson Junior and John Edmondson were bound £500 for Constance Edmondson’s and Thomas Edmondson’s administration of the goods chattles and credits of Thomas Edmondson deceased. Signed Constance her C mark Edmondson. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 8, pages 383–384.]

An inventory of the estate of Thomas Edmondson was ordered on 18 December 1750 and was made on 19 January 1750/1 by Wm Covington, Richd Gatewood and Jno Evans. No total valuation. Presented by Thos Edmondson and Const Edmondson. Recorded 22 May 1751. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 9, pages 67–69.]

On 17 March 1766, Constance Edmondson deposed that when her son William was married, that his father Thomas Edmondson gave him a slave. The same day, Susanna Allen, aged 56 years or thereabouts, deposed that the day William Edmondson married his present wife that his father gave him a slave Philis.
