On 16 June 1755, Josiah Minter and Mary Minter witnessed a deed from Thomas Croxton and Susannah his wife to Samuel Croxton. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 27, pages 115–119.]
On 17 January 1757, Josiah Minter and Mary his wife of the County of Essex and Parish of Southfarnham leased to John Minter. Whereas John Minter late of the parish and county aforesaid deceased died seized of 200 acres in the county and parish aforesaid and bequeathed the land to nine of his children by will, Josiah Minter leases his share, 27-1/4 acres, for 5 shillings. A release was dated 18 January 1757 in the amount of £7.17.6. Witnesses: Thomas Barker, Ann her A mark Barker. Ordered recorded 21 June 1757. [Essex County, Virginia, Deed Book 27, pages 316–321.]
She is listed as the mother of John Minter who married Ann Ryland in the Minter-Durham family Bible at the Virginia State Archives, Acc. 26856.
