Patience Reeves was mentioned in the 28 April 1728 will of her father Henry Reeves. She was to receive a share in money and was listed as one of the seven youngest children. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 4, pages 342–344.]
Patience Gatewood was mentioned in the 2 October 1736 will of her brother John Reeves. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 6, pages 63–64.]
Patience Gatewood was mentioned in the 5 April 1738 will of her mother Sarah Reeves. She was to receive a negro woman Sylvia, a share in cattle, sheep, hoggs and horses, and a silver spoon.
