On 8 April 1737, Richard Street came this day into Court and Acknowledg’d his Deed of Bargain and Sale unto Daniel Stringer together with Livery of Seizin Endors’d Thereon as also a Receipt for the Consideration Mony (Catherine the wife of the sd Richard being first privately Examined Relinquish’d her Right of Dower to the Same) And by the Court the sd Deed Receipt and Memorandum was Order’d to b recorded. Catharine was mentioned in the 9 February 1741 will of her husband, Richard Street, proved 5 June 1744, and was named one of the executors. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Will Book 1740–1748, pages 156–158.]
An inventory of the estate of Richard Street was made by Thos Montague, James Bristow and Ja Campbell. Total valuation about £323. Returned by Catherine her 0 mark Street. Recorded 7 August 1750. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Will Book D, pages 128–130.]
On 6 February 1753, Catherine Street won a case in Middlesex County Court against John Williams and William Cardwell, on petition, receiving one pound eighteen shillings and two pounds two shillings plus her costs. [Middlesex County, Virginia, Orders 1752–1758, page 27.]
