On 5 November 1717, Elizabeth her E mark Browne witnessed will of Joseph Farguson, and proved the will in court on 19 March 1717/18. [Essex County, Virginia, Will Book 3, pages 10–11.]

Elizabeth Brown was mentioned in the 11 March 1745 will of her husband, Daniel Brown, proved 26 March 1747. “Item I Lend unto my Loving wife Elizabeth Brown all the rest of my Estate of what nature or Qulity soever during Life and After her Decease & Give & bequeath unto my Loving son William Brown all the rest of my Estate real & Personal Lying & being in what part or place soever to him & his heirs for ever Lastly I do hereby constitute & Appoint my Loving wife Elizabeth Brown Executrix with my Loving son William Brown Executor of this my Last will & Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal this 11th day of March one thousand seven hundred & forth five.” On 26 March 1747, presented in court by William Brown one of the Executors Elizabeth Brown the other Executor Signifying to the Court her willingness of Renunciation in Writing which is Ordered to be Certifyed and proved by the oaths of Thomas Houison & William Lobb. Certificate of probate granted to William Brown. [Orange County, Virginia, Will Book 2, pages 105–106.]
