The American Battle Monuments Commission website states:
First Lieutenant Miller was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was the navigator of a B-29 with the 12th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, 67th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing. On October 8, 1951, on returning from a night reconnaissance mission over North Korea, his aircraft crashed while landing at the fog covered Suwon Airfield (K-13) killing him.
Awards: For his leadership and valor, First Lieutenant Miller was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and additional service medals for World War II.
